Get baking for charity

Number one home baking company Dr. Oetker (UK) Ltd. has cooked up an exciting new campaign, bakemap.co.uk, to entice the nation to get baking and to raise funds for Breast Cancer Care’s Strawberry Tea event.

It’s easy, simply upload your favourite recipe and a photo (if you have one), and choose a category for it to go in! Your recipes will create an online map of Great Britain and Ireland forming an extensive bank of baking recipes. So whether you are in Yorkshire or Yarmouth, why not represent your region? Let’s see whose recipes are best!

All uploaded recipes can be recommended by visitors to the site. Each week the recipe with the most recommendations will be named ‘Recipe of the Week’ and will win a Dr. Oetker (UK) Ltd. goodie bag. And if that’s not enough of an incentive to get out your wooden spoon, all ‘Recipe of the Week’ winners will be entered into a prize draw to win one of ten courses at a top cookery school for them and a friend.

We are hoping to create what will become the biggest collection of online baking recipes in Great Britain, Ireland and the Channel Islands, and possibly break a record from Guinness World Records. So come on people, what are you waiting for – get baking – it’s for a great cause!

Breast Cancer Care is a unique charity offering vital support and information to anyone affected by breast cancer. They are the only national charity providing immediate frontline support and information for those living with breast cancer today. All their services are free. Dealing with a breast cancer diagnosis can be a very lonely and scary experience not only for the patient, but for their partner, family, friends and colleagues too. Thankfully Breast Cancer Care is there to support people every step of the way, from helping people to be diagnosed earlier to offering practical and emotional support whenever, wherever they need it.
