Submitted by: Splenda
Type: Biscuits & Cookies

Method

1. Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 5/190C/fan oven 170. Line 2 baking trays with non-stick parchment.

2. Place the butter, SPLENDA® Granulated Sweetener, sugar and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Use an electric whisk to beat together until smooth and beginning to get lighter in colour.

3. Sift in the cocoa and flour and beat again until well combined.

4. Divide the dough in 2 and press out 2 rounds, using your hands, to approx 15cm (6in) diameter. Prick all over and mark round the edges with a fork. Bake for 15-20 minutes until beginning to brown.

5. Remove from the oven and immediately cut each round into 6 slices. Leave to cool on the tray before transferring to an airtight container.

This is food kids of any age really can play with! Grandma, and indeed Grandpa, love spending time with their grandchildren - here are delicious flapjacks with a twist, something they can all create together. Warning - they are very tasty so very moreish and as they are very crumbly should be eaten in the garden unless you have a dog to wolf up the crumbs!
